AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that Israeli occupation forces bombed the Noura al-Kaabi Kidney Dialysis Centre in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza.
The centre, part of the Indonesian Hospital, was the only facility in northern Gaza equipped to treat kidney failure patients—it was currently serving more than 160 people who depended on it for life-saving care.
This devastating strike comes just weeks after the centre had reopened following a previous attack.
According to Dr. Muneer al-Bursh, Director General at the Ministry of Health, the centre had barely resumed operations amid critical shortages of fuel and medical supplies before being destroyed once again.
“After it was renovated and reopened just weeks ago to serve dialysis patients—as the only kidney dialysis centre in Gaza City and the northern governorate—despite working under extreme shortages of fuel and medical supplies, the Israeli occupation has now destroyed the Noura al-Kaabi Dialysis Centre at the Indonesian Hospital,” al-Bursh wrote in Arabic.
The Ministry further reported that 41 percent of kidney failure patients in Gaza have died during the war, largely due to being denied access to dialysis treatment and the systematic destruction of the facilities meant to keep them alive.
